Mahzad Chavoshi

I’m Mahzad, a Product Designer based in Melbourne, working across complex digital services, design systems and accessibility.

My background in software engineering shaped the way I think about design. I naturally look for patterns, connections and ways to simplify complexity ,whether I’m working through a complicated service journey, designing a reusable system, or figuring out how something should work in the real world.

I’m especially drawn to problems where there’s a lot to untangle. I enjoy taking something complicated and making it feel clearer, simpler and easier to use.

Beyond the screen

That instinct to design doesn’t really stop when I close Figma.

If you don’t find me behind my computer designing, I’m almost certainly spending time with my son.

I also love gardening, architecture and improving the spaces around me. I’m the kind of person who looks at a garden, a room or a corner of the house and immediately starts imagining how it could work or feel better.
